Stolen stuff.

Reading in the thread about a CrashBlade sent to 2D2K being stolen I wanted to move that Topic OuT of Sarge's thread. In that thread 2D2k said the following in one of his posts.

Oh...and I saved the pictures, that crash had posted, on the outside chance, that someday the police will ask if I can identify the missing knife.

As soon as I saw this,it made me think about taking some pics to the local Pawn shops,telling them the situation,and leaving them a pic so they know what to look for.
Old soldier had some stuff stolen a while back,and this same "Tactic" could be used in that situation also.
Just wanted to put this out there 'cause I can't stand a thief.

Good advice! I have a list of the guns I own with serial numbers for just that reason. I should extend this list and include pictures for things like knives and tools.

Old Soldier had the other knife that was stolen. His has been replaced. Working on 2D's. Good idea Poco.

Just another little idea, on all my expensive kit and when I had them, guns and archery bows have my postcode and house no. stamped on them.

I've done the same as Camp10. I have taken pictures of all of my firearms (at least I would if I had any) including closeups of any distinguishing markings. I've placed that, along with a description of each and the serial number in my bank box.
