Default Camping on Elmendorf AFB, AK

Finally got some time off from work to take the new camper out. Didn't go far, maybe 1/2 a mile from the house :B how convenient. Everything worked great, even got the heater to work which was great since it was in the 50's. Found a water leak on the city water inlet but got that fixed up. Even fixed up an awning for us since it rained the whole time. Realized that airbags are a must, guess those old campers are heavy. Also I need to invest in some leveling blocks. Hauling all those wood blocks sucked.

This swing was a great investment.

I had one of those spring loaded roll up awnings on my RV until early this spring. It is somewhere in the land of OZ I fear.

    How did the heater do?
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

The heater did great, kept it nice and toasty.

Looks like you did a great job on the camper. Nothing wrong with going close to home to test fly it for the first time. Give the opportunity to shake it out and you aren't too far away if something is really bad. All in all it looks like you had some great supervision, too!!!

Nice set-up, should make for a nice trip down the Alcan, and a good BOV after you get home. Congratulations.
