Default anyone watch man, women, wild

I recoreded it an got a chance to watch it today, I found the show to be a little on the funny side, for thoes of us that havent seen it here is a general description.
A husband ( seasoned outdoorsman) and wife ( no survival outdoor experiance) go to remote areas so he can teach her about survival.

I did notice them using the bamboo method of fire starting like in dual survival.

I haven't seen it but it sounds interesting! I will have to check it out.
What channel and what time does it air?

I'm chuckling to myself thinking of me and the Mrs...... it would probably be a disaster but extremly entertaining to viewers if we were on it. Lol...

Sort of reminds me of Mr. & Mrs Steve Irwin on "The Crocadile Hunter."

Caught the "Amazon" episode.....it was a decent show, but his Rod Serling "Twilight Zone esq" voice just kills it for me.
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, bruised, battered, and totally worn out, shouting "Holy crap.....what a ride!"

    Cool Hmmmm...

Ok, everybody heading out for the Amazon, raise your hand! How many times do we have to watch the big "Survival Expert' gut a snake! I was hoping for the turtle to become lunch! But no! Little Miss Prima Donna wants to keep it as a pet! Come on Discovery Channel, lets program something we all can relate to!

And speaking of the turtle,, it looked like a desert tortoise to me, the kind we have here in the Mojave desert, do they really have those in the Amazon ?

I liked the show in general. I watched it with my wife. I turned to her and said, "So, honey, when are you going to go out on a wilderness adventure with me?" She just gave me one of those "Are you stupid?" looks.

As I watched I kept thinking, "Is this guy's voice for real?" It seemed like he was over-doing the tough guy voice. Maybe he really talks like that, but it seemed a little fake to me. Anybody else notice that?

The husband on the show was The Discovery Channel's technical adviser for some time and did the survival tips on their website. I watched a little of the show and thought it was pretty good.

I thought the reasoning for the voice at times was to try and maintain calm with his wife.
