    Default Very Important. Please Read!

We just got a call from a long time friend. Hard working, family man. Pays his taxes, follows the laws of the land and the government, all around lover of this country.
He got a knock on his door yesterday from Homeland Security who spent at least 1.5 hours interrogating him. They tracked him down via his website where he preached what WE preach. He took events we experienced today, and linked them to the bible and they took that as a danger.

He was tracked down simply because of his blog and treated as a criminal in his own home by government employees.

I just thought YOU guys out of anyone should be warned what our government is currently doing.

Did he mention what agency? (Homeland Security is a bunch of agencies under one umbrella) Are there any other details on what may have caused this "visit"?

He was on and off the phone so fast he didn't really have a chance to go into much detail.
Basically all we know is that they believe that he is a "revolutionary" and wanted him to disclose who he spoke to and if they were also "revolutionaries".

I hope he checked their credentials. Seems a bit on the strange side for a "normal" web user (like us) to be subjected to something like that . What he described is usually part of the "end game" in an investigation, not the beginning. Would be curious to hear more about it when or if he gives you details (assuming you would be willing to share)

The FBI and Homeland Security have spiders that crawl the web looking for certain "Red Flag words " and phrases, Just FYI.

I think they are paying a lot more attention to blogs after that Incident where that guy flew his plane into the building, He had blogged about his disdain of certain factions of the Gov long before he took action, (just one example)

The only other info I got was that they found him through Facebook and that his blog was linked to his face book. We're not "friends" with him there nor do we subscribe to his blog so I can't tell you exactly what he spoke about. All I know is what was said in that short call and it was that he was linking current events to the biblical "end times". Apparently they disclosed that they have all of his "friends" off of his site and scared him into deleting it all off the web.
I don't know what's going to happen now, but I'm sure he's got a lawyer by now.

I am SORRY, but this what I want them to be doing. If he did nothing wrong whats the harm to him. Hell, they can stop by anytime and talk to me. I am glad they are doing their job. I think with in 10 years we will "ALL" have to have papers or passports on us at all times.

I see what you're saying, Sourdough...but I can't agree fully. He didn't do anything wrong, he used his freedom of speech. I didn't hear about any of those who burned Bush in effigy being visited by Homeland Security...but now if we have the audacity to say we dislike what this administration is doing, we're suspected terrorists. All the while there are ACTUAL terrorists plotting on our own land. Not only is it not constitutional to bull-dog tax paying citizens, it's a waste of money to be shipping government employees all over the country to interrogate people like you and me. You've got to know we can't afford that crap in todays day and age.

He never pushed violence or hate. He simply voiced dislike for bills, laws, and government officials. All of those things are allowed with our constitution.

One of the reasons I like this forum, avoiding politics and ultimately the biggest threat to the NWO is a self reliant population.

The jails are full of CONVICTED Criminals who Never did anythng wrong, just ask them. You have no idea who he is. The only person you know very much about is you yourself. I thought I knew my exwife, I would have sworn she never did drugs, well I was wrong.

This isn't about a convicted criminal though. This is about a man, writing down his feelings about our government. No different than anyone else has for decades. A man that never incited violence in any way shape or form, simply using the freedoms allotted to him by the US constitution, and paid for in blood...and being treated as a criminal because of that.
He's not linked to a terror group. He's not asking people to bring up arms. He's drawing comparisons to the bible. Do I agree with everything he says? No, but that's what WAS cool about this country...we had the right to say it. KKK has the right to march. Black Panthers have their right to march. Code Pink have THEIR right to march. We do not pick and choose who has rights in this country...at least we didn't...

Then he has NOTHING to worry about, and he should be thankfully that they are doing their job, so he has those freedoms. I think you and he are trying to make something out of nothing.

We don't really have "Free Speech" try saying the word bomb in an airport and see what happens to you.

I don't. If it were over, he wouldn't have been told that he will be watched, when they left. I think too many people in this country have gotten too used to freedoms being slowly removed in the name of "keeping the country safe" that they've become numb to what they are truly giving up. With all the dangers that this country faces each day...I'm NOT okay with government personnel putting so much time into people like him, or me for that matter.

*shrug* You can think it's no big deal, but I certainly don't. It's one more chip at our freedoms and now it's at OUR level.

Well, that's different. That's inciting panic or violence. Not the same as voicing discontent.

So if you speak up about your discontent, you're fine with a high level government official coming to your home with a file on you and spend hours interrogating you like you've done something wrong? I'm NOT okay with that. If they read his blogs (as they said they did), they would have SEEN that he was a good american with conflicting political views. When did that become a red flag for a terrorist?

Hey, y'all can do what you want with the information as far as I'm concerned. I guess I saw THIS site as one that would be more upset over something like this and would like to know what's going on in small towns throughout our once free country. Not upset? That's fine...but if this gets to the point where we're censored at every level...and no one stood up...well...it will be far too late.

I've got to get back to work now. Later.

You said in an earlier post that you didnt know what his blog said, Maybe he has changed and is not the person you knew ? without seeing what he wrote its all just speculation whether he did anything wrong or not, There is no way they would/could visit everyone that ever said the world will end according to Biblical prophesies , IMO.

I must confess, this does sound fishy. An individual in position of authority would not introduce themselves as being "Homeland Security", they would first identify their agency and post introduction would say they are part of the Homeland security department. I know it is a subtle difference to most, but it is significant in discerning someone legitimate from someone who is not. I would venture to guess that there is much more to the story than he has told you

Trabitha, I had the right to carry loaded firearms on commercial airliners,It's gone, I had the right to smoke on Commercial Airliners, it's gone. Many of my rights have been lost to me, so you can be safe. We live in a different world today, than I was born into in 1947. And the world will be different in ten more years. Pineing over lost rights is silly. I want the world of the 1950's.....well tough for me, because that world does not exist.
