if i understand correctly, the individual stores have to have a ffl for just that store. some stores have a difficult time keeping their paperwork in order and end up not selling guns and ammo. however the laws have changed over the years i don't know if a license is even required to sell ammunition.

Super Wally World in Viroqua, WI, no longer has any guns or ammo.
As far as the same packaged ammo from WW or a gun shop, no difference as I've found.

Of course it's been awhile, since I purchased "store bought" in any thing important.

Last Friday, local WM had a few boxes of 45 ACP and no limit. I think they let it get to the floor by accident and didn't sell it to their buddies before it made it that far.

Being a former employee frm wally world,I know that they have a long term plan to get out of firearms all together, but they do plan to continue to sell ammo....when they can get it.

Our Wally World still has a good stock of ammo.

During the ammo shortage last fall I stocked up on everything as best I could. I have several years worth of .22 lr, .22 mag., Winchester .270, 30.06, 20 gauge and 12 gauge ammo. I recently acquired a 7.62 x 39 and only have 200 rounds for it, as soon as I find a good price I will stockpile it as well.

    We are Temporarily Unable
    to Sell Ammunition
    at this time.

Of course I asked why, and nobody could tell me - not even the Assistant Store Manager.
Went there today. The same sign is still up. All the ammo cases are filled with Zebco reels.

    Zebco pushbuttons?
Have you checked the Walpole store? Or was that the one that just got busted for selling to a cop without checking FID? They used to carry a lot of ammo there. There's also the Bass Pro right near there but it may be pricey.

I haven't checked the WW up here near me since they 'redecorated' to put in a grocery store. They used to carry a lot. More gun owners out this way though most seem to go to Dicks up in Leominster now. They also go to Blue Northern out in Ayer/Littleton.

Never been to the Walpole store. I try to stay away from the Bass Pro Shop there. Bad for the springs on the truck.

Ya, no kidding on the Bass Pro shop. I still drool over the Mako with the T-Top out there, LOL, though I'm not a Mako fan. Buddy of mine just got an Edgewater 18'. Now that's a nice boat and we fill it with all kinds of gear. If only I could just last longer than 4-hours out on the ocean...it's so sad.

Had a Mako 30 years ago. Twin Evinrudes. Real good boat, but if I ever get another one, it'll be a Whaler.

I never got seasick, but there are plenty of ways to acclimate yourself. I believe pushing landlubbers to the limit. Take 'em out on rough days. Pack a few Italian sausage and pepper sandwiches for lunch. Show them where to brace themselves over the transom without risk of puking on the motors.

In a few days, they'll thank you for it.

That's a nice Whaler (did you photoshop the third engine in there???) I've been in some of the smaller 16'-18' ones and they slam hard over the waves. Really hard.

Nah, just puke over the side as the coastal ferries go by. Poster boy for Dramamine. I'm convinced I'll grow out of it yet. Keep trying anyway. I'm fine on the lakes even in storms. There's something about the ocean. Monomoy with its crazy cross patterns takes me out fast. Doesn't stop me from going out though.
