    Default Tent Stove ?...

Picked up this little stove the other day, figured it would make a good tent stove , I havent tested it yet, all I did so far was clean it up and spray it with some paint to prevent rust , I figure ill burn in it , clean up the peeled paint then spray it with grill paint. So what do you all think will it make a good tent stove Guests can not see images in the messages. Please register in the forum.

Well No........not really, It will be better than nothing, in extreme cold. Those top feeders smoke awful when refueling. Learn to be quick. It is roughly the same as the old "Blued" oval tin stoves we used in wall tents till the EPA outlawed them in 83'. Well it work....yes, will it work good.....NO. Why don't you build yourself a small front loading barrel stove......?

Now, it would make a real good firebox for a "Fish Smoker".

Thank you Sourdough, for that info and idea about the fish smoker. As for making a barrel stove , that could be a fun project, what are some good materials to use for the body.

Here they use old water pressure tank, Pipe, 15 gallon lube barrels. I think a 5 gallon pressure tank would work good.

Original owner said it was a metal shop project his son made, and it was used as a camp stove.
