I'm glad to hear that it's legal for you to have that defense.

I think you went the correct route Red, and just another thought, you're a boss, I'm a boss....so are several others here. We all do what we can but sooner or later there's always going to be one or two that think the boss is an a*****e
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

The cop said he was going to "talk" to this clown. He did then came back to me and said "we will no longer get involved in this situation".

I guessed this was a result of his version of events. He does talk a good talk. I left it alone and he seemed to back off. But I knew if he tried anything I made a statement already saying he threatened me and I felt threatened.

Fast forward to a few days ago.

He resigns from his new job, they tell him thanks for the notice but he should leave immediately, he calls his boss' boss a few names over the phone and off he goes. When he gets home he reconsiders his decision and emails the president of the company. This is a very big outfit so how self important does he think he is to think the president wants to hear from a troublesome employee in one of the smallest branches out of thousands in the company.
Shows up for work the next day like nothing happened. They told him he no longer worked there and he refused to leave. They had to call the cops to have him removed. His boss filed a police report on him.

I spoke to his boss here and she said he was psychotic and she has concerns for her safety now as well.

I only hope that he now will be unable to find a job here and move back to Toronto. What a whack job! I left one of the other forums I go to just to avoid him.

We have a gun registry here in this country and I am thinking it is a good thing in this case. If johnny law sees this pattern and thinks he shouldn't own any guns they will take them away. No registry means they don't know how many he may or may not have.

I for one are glad you posted this...I found out an ex employee I terminated and he sued for age discrimination and lost. Is one that will cut you all the way around your belly just deep enough to watch you bleed out, just a few days ago. Now I have my back......gees!

I wonder what happened to these folks to make them so volatile.

Yep, and then all it takes is a single snide remark from some arrogant self-rightous azzhole to set them crazies off.

What if he tells a good story, and you act ticked off and/or scared, leading them to take your guns, and leaving him with his?

    Registration is for law-abiding folk.
It isn't the Registered guns you have to worry about...
It's the one they don't find to take away from him.

A registry does nothing to stop a criminal. When will people understand that. He will steal or buy from a private dealer. Yes, I am all for background checks(that don't take a week), to give someone a buyers permit. But once they know I have no priors, or warning signs against me, it's really none of their business how many guns I own, as a LAW-ABIDING citizen. Everybody is so quick to legislate guns laws. Guess what if laws worked, there would be no crime. Murder, assault, robbery, rape, are all illegal, yet happens every second tof the day.

AMEN TO THAT! Sorry its been a big thing for my family with all these gun laws springing up. They need to stop makeing them and start enforceing the ones we have!

Strange little thing. If a criminal can not have firearms for whatever reason they actually can keep the little black powder deringers as long as they don't have propellent or anything else to actually fire it.
