    Default My BOB firearm

    http://www.henryrepeating.com/h002_survival.cfm

I carry one of these in my BOB, which lives in my Silverado, along with 300 (at present) rounds of Mini-Mags. My pack has a long vertical side pocket and the rifle fits perfectly, with the flap closed and cinched. If the SHTF I doubt there will be much big game to harvest, due to the fact that so many hunters will be out there and there will surely be those who harvest everything that moves in order to sell or barter the meat. I'm thinking more of small game and fish for sustainance. Anyway, the rifle is plenty accurate for what it is designed to do, and it's certainly better than my slingshot (or maybe I'm better with a rifle than I am with a slingshot- whatever).

I keep my AR-7 in my BOB along with 500 rounds of ammo and 5 ten round mags.

Now that looks right purty I would say you should be able to keep the stew pot full with that .

You have had that for 30 years? It is in great shape

I like to say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I think that an items suitability (such as a firearm) is directly related to its users confidence in it.

I have never been "into" stainless guess I never really gave it a chance. I like everything parkerized. Guess I am hopelessly stuck in the past

Sometimes, being a moderator is a fun job. There are stories out there most folks will never see. Will they, sjj?

Does anyone have a Marlin Papoose? I've been reading that they are a lot more reliable than the AR-7. It looks like you can pick them up for around $200. I've been thinking about one for the BOB.

See? That was a perfectly good post and a great explanation. So everyone else understands, when you delete a post, moderator's can still see it. So when sjj deleted his original post, I still had the pleasure of being able to read it, which I thought was a perfectly good post.

If you'd just thought to have installed a bayonet. Now that would have been gooooood.

My guess is there's not many Ruger 22s with a grenade launcher.

Here's another one for you. It's a break down Ruger 10/22. I've not seen this one before.
