    19th century torture devices?
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. Helen Keller

    2. Toaster
    3. Ice box
    4. Slicer (chopper)
    5. I think that was called a Silent Butler? For keeping foods warm in the dining or eating room.
    6. I have no idea. Garnisher of some type?
    7. Condiment tongs but I don't know if they are ice, sugar or salt. Could be salt tongs.
    8. Serving spoon rest?
    9. I have no idea. I can't tell the size but, based on the writing, it looks too small for a rolling pin.

    4 is a pea sheller
5 is an ice cream freezer
8 is the holder for one of the asparragus tongs in 7
9 is a hunk of dowel rod
