    Default fun week for me

so today i got to fight my first fire as a volunteer fire fighter, just a brush fire from some one trying to burn off a small area of dead grass turned into a 20 acre fire and was heading to the bush, lots of fun.
last weekend was a survival course with search and rescue learned a few tricks and then we did some low angle rope rescue work.
next week i am with the emergency rescue unit (eru) at the mill doing a week long advanced first aid course
life is just cruising along great for me right now and the edibles are coming out, does it get any better than this?

headed for the Bush, from the brush.

generally that means the wilderness, or undeveloped areas. i suppose he could have meant it was headed for the liquor store, and was threatening the town's beer supply, but i'm pretty sure they drink molson's up there

uo here there is literally hundreds of thousands of acres of wilderness, cut into this bush are small little farms, for example my farm is 80 acres with about 6 acres of pasture, this particular farm is 160 acres with about 30 to 40 acres of pasture where this guy grows hay, the 20 or acres that caught fire was his hay pasture and it was spreading towards the bush
And up here if the fire was heading towards the towns beer supply you would be amazed at how many volunteers would show up, of course that would be to drink the beer before the store burned down, not to help fight the fire, one reason our liquer and beer stores are government owned is the amount of revenue it brings them

Congrats WE, you are providing a valuable and necessary service to your community, as well as building your skill sets and networking.

Our cabin has an all volunteer fire and rescue team, all hard working people that chose to help out, rather than complain.
We support them any way we can.
    Thanks for your service.
