Thread: well..

    Default well..

at first glances, nice site. on the second, typical mod-abuse, sucking up and petty one upmanship. Grow up. Being a man means being adaptable not just latching on to any little flaw in someone else's character (because the gun toting christ said so, right?)

No more posts from me to here... the paramilitary edge bothers me and the stupid beard itching big knife collecting armchair ranger (worst from the members allegedly having served...yeah...folding blankets?) is beyond compare.

If anyone with some sense would like to get to know me, converse on relevant topics or whatever, please contact me at [email protected].

Enjoy your over the top collections of gear, maps, cars and bullets.

Now lets crack out the Creedence, cos **** knows evolution stopped in 1970

Thanks for the show, I have learned nothing at all apart from how touchy, paranoid and basically delusional many people are. Like any forum, the best members are the most silent and the whining, one-upping, my stick is bigger than yours manchildren reign supreme.

****** that. If you like living, and living well, drop me a note. Thanks for your time.

Hy, you have misinterpreted family rough housing.

I didn't see any jokes pointed at you or harsh criticism, I'm not going to read the context to all of your posts. If you can get past the play there is valuable info here. Lurk for a while if you wish.

A lot of these complaints are to be expected. WSF is a part of the real world, after all, and the real world is like that. I'm not sure why he expected this place to be so different.
I'll hate to see Hybrid go. I enjoyed most of his posts.

He does have a few points, though. I personally wish we had more substantive threads and posts. There is so much we can learn from each other if we really took the time. Every time I post I try add something to the conversation. If I don't have anything substantive to add or to ask, I don't post. Oh well.

For the record, the paramilitary stuff doesn't bother me. But I would like to see more information actually related to wilderness survival. Sometimes it feels like "off topic" is the topic around here.

But I'm not going anywhere. Nice knowin ya, Hybrid. Good luck and God Bless.

Too bad, seems like Hy's posts were well thought out, and well written, IMO, even used punctuation, caps and such.

Different points of view are important and intresting even when you don't necessarily agree with them.

So, Hy, have a good life, and good luck.

Most of us here are friends. Logging-in here is like grabbing a beer with your buddies after work. You may discuss the job for a couple of minutes, but the conversation shifts to the kids, little league, baseball, parking lot fees, traffic, buying a new car, car salespeople, crooked politicians, congress, the health care bill...........

I enjoy the off topic non-survival discussions as much as any others.

RoseAnne Cash's ex-husband told a story about once getting into the middle of an argument between her and her legendary daddy. He said Johnny just turned, looked at him and said, "son, I don't know you well enough to miss you when you're gone"

    seems kind of fitting.
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

Agreed, sir, wholeheartedly. One of my favorite qutoes of all times was from Bob Dylan regarding Mr. Cash after his passing "John was like the pole star, you could guide your ship by him"

Hybrid, Try using more discretion. Be content to let people think what the will, they have to live with thier thoughts. There are some interesting topics and people here (you happen to one of those that peaks my interest) and just ignore the rest. That's as good as it gets anywhere.
