    Default I'm quitting,

Smoking that is.I smoke close to two packs a day.I woke up Monday morning and decided that it was time.I picked up a box of patches and slapped one on.Now I know I am not supposed to smoke with one on but I have.I think in all total I have had 3 smokes since Monday morning.Even when I do have a smoke its not a full one.Its just enough to keep me from ruining someones day and or needing Ken's services.

If you can, look into Chantix. I was a 2 pack a day smoker, fo r29 years. I started on Chantix last June 1st. I smoked maybe a pack of smokes, over teh first 3 days, then on like the 4th day, just thew the last few away, and have never smoked since. Don't have teh urge. Sometimes, when I'm around a campfire, I think of it, but it is fleeting, and passes in a nonsecond. I never had any side effects, other than I had vivid dreams. Not bad dreams, just ones, that I could remember, when I woke up. So, if your insurance will pick up any of th ecost of it, I highly recommend Chantix.

put me down for another 'best of luck and stay strong'.

i average a pack every 2-3 days, and i've still found quitting a great challenge.

you have to want it, you can take that to the bank. if you do, you can do it.

Good luck Joe! You'll be glad you quit. If you need, we can chain you to a tree for a couple of weeks.

    Good Luck, Joe.

0530 PST, 1 Jul 92: Last cigarette. Tried a patch for two days and forgot it for two more and decided I didn't need it.

Very best of luck, two of the guy's I work with are both trying to quit, and it makes for quite a day at times. They are both using chantix, one had some problems being dizzy for a day or two, the other who is in very good shape is now eating like a guy possessed.

I wish you the best. You can do it if you truly want to. It took me several tries but the last time I did it. That was 1989 and I haven't touched tobacco since. Take it one day at a time. One minute at a time if you have to.

I quit a 3 pack a day habit in February 2001. Gave away my humidor full of cigars as well. Haven't looked back...

Thank for the support guys.It helps more than you may know.

I wonder if when I wrap my hands around a co-workers neck and squeeze until the little pukes head falls off if I can plea temporary insanity? Or did I just blow it by asking?
