Suggestions for an easy to build/buy floor for a small shed?

I'm installing this small shed next to my house, it's footprint is 2.4x7.3 ft. I need to build/buy a floor. It must support 500+/-lbs. It would sit on top of flat ground covered by one inch of stones (for drainage). I'd like something easy that Home Depot can cut, like thick plywood, but I got a feeling that won't do it. So maybe pressure treated wood 4x4s latched together w/ plywood on top. Weather is not an issue. Thanks for you suggestions. TM

i have a idea that's a little different but hey ya may like it. maybe pavers or patio blocks would work. level the ground real good and make a pad.

Lots of options available.
1. No floor
2. Poured concrete - 4" thick (.22 cubic yards = 9.9 - 80 pound bags of concrete)
3. Pier (small concrete deck blocks) and beam covered with plywood (pressure treated only)
4. Pier and beam covered with plastic or composite dimensional lumber

Don't use untreated lumber......termites.

I agree with Crashs suggestion "2. Poured concrete - 4" thick (.22 cubic yards = 9.9 - 80 pound bags of concrete)" Is quick and easy for someone who may not have alot of wood working skills, or tools. And is durable. You just need the cement, a wheelbarrow and a hoe tool wise

Up here, we've gotta' pour concrete for a stable base. 8" sonatubes sunk to a depth of 4 feet and filled with concrete. I've seen many a poorly planned shed hanging in the air on one side or all deformed after a winter of frost heaves.

I've always used marine plywood for floors - never had any rot or bugs. I've never used PT plywood on a floor yet - maybe for my next small shed. In addition to bugs, I'm concerned about that garden hose that may drain all over the floor, or the wet sponge and other stuff that the kids throw in there after they wash their cars.

Any medium sized or large shed will only be built with a poured concrete floor. Just sayin'.

Anyway you could get some wooden pallets? If cut to the right size it would be a "premade" floor joist system. It would also provide ventilation. Add some plywood cut to size,and you are done. If you don't nail the plywood down you could also replace you joist/pallets as needed. Heck the Lumber store Might even have the pallets. Just a thought. Or you could evenly space the paving stones and place the plywood over that. Really, you are only limited by your imagination.

I use cross arms and utility poles for everything that duct tape and para cord wont work on but that might just be me!
