I stayed the weekend in the swamp and learned a few lessons. I paired down my gear from previous trips quite alot and plan to continue to do so. My biggest reason is that I want to make it easier to go. I searched here and over the net and learned a wood gassifier stove is probably what I am wanting to eliminate my gas stoves. I understand the principle of how they work well enough. Most I found were made from soup or coffee cans. Alot were paint cans with a perfect matching soup can for the burn chamber. I see mine getting a fair amount of use and came up with this idea. I am using a long narrow propane torch cylinder for my chamber and standard 1lb. camp cylinder for the body of the stove. The reason for this is I wanted something more durable. I don't mind welding as needed either. I plan to paint the entire assembly with grill paint when finished. If any of you have done anything close and learned any lessons I'd like to hear those lessons.
