We don't have a jewelry section, but here is a "whats it made out of" quiz.
This is my wear to important camp fires necklaces.

So we will test your skills:

Dried peas and bone but I have no idea what the bone is from. Whatever it is, it's beautiful.

Looks like a whole bunch of Raccoons pride.

We use the Oosik from Brown/Grizzly Bears and Black Bears for stirrer in mixed drinks.

I believe the beads are hand made fired clay, at least looks like it.
Single coon whistles were selling for like $30 bucks, each.

I picked this up from a guy that needed gas money to get home from rendezvouses, he had a string of bad luck. Swapped a tank of gas for it.

I had offered to sell it back to him when he got home and recouped. ( tend to do this a lot, sorta primitive pawn guy).
    Never heard from him again...............?

Have held on to it and worn it to formal doin's at rendezvouses for a long time.
Didn't take long for y'all to figure it out, LOL, you guys KNOW Dick.

Precisely, you're catching on to hunter speak, LOL
Actually they are called "coon whistles", at least at rendezvous, but if you do a search doesn't come up.

You don't suppose that maybe the interweb doesn't know everything?

Once upon a time, Army Parachute Riggers had an honorary, informal association - The Penus Ringtailus Society of which I may have been a member (no pun intended). It had something to do with size and buying drinks.

The type of bones are explained in posts following the original post. Hey - while explanations are going around, how about dropping by the Introduction section when you get us a chance and tell us a bit about yourself. Thanks. http://www.wilderness-survival.net/f...splay.php?f=14
