    If the guy says you'll give me six years then the judge would have to give him 4 if it were true. If it were false, the judge would have to give him six years, which would make it true so he'd have to give him 4. I think. But I have no idea why he was set free.

    The convict said "You will sentence me to 6 years."

    If that WERE true, the Judge would have had to sentence him to 4 years.

    Which would have then made the statement false, requiring the Judge to give him 6 years, which would have then made the statement true.

    In other words, the Judge COULD NOT sentence him.
