Default Do you WISH that the SHTF...????

What are some reasons that some people Look forward to the SHTF or TEOTWAWKI...???

For example: There may be some who feel unfairly repressed.

Please do not vote: I am wondering what are some reasons some people look forward to TSHTF.

i don't think they look forward to it but just are confident that they are completely ready for it and express it and since we cannot see each others face it would seem like we want it to happen but most all ready for it which is why they seem like they are looking forward to it WOW really long

One thing I agree with : Please do not vote: I am wondering what are some reasons some people look forward to TSHTF.

Don't Vote! Don't complaine! Don't want to hear how bad you think it is or will get! Just keep your mouth closed and go away!

    Cool Back on Topic.

Either set of letters makes me think that there are some people who actually are hoping for something like this to happen for a variety of reasons. Maybe to "teach the rest of us a lesson"; not to be used to living in the lap of luxury. Maybe, like "One Wheel", a fear of the Government. Maybe they have trouble getting along with other people in general and if this should happen then it's solved. I think it represents a deeper, phsycological issue.(did you read that, Remy?) Maybe it's the "last man standing", or "King of the World", or they want to re-build civilization so it will reflect their way of thinking. Maybe they just want to get away from the IRS. Maybe they want a bigger piece of the pie. I don't think that there's just one answer to this whole mind-set. My thinking along these lines leads me to believe that it would be total anarchy & Chaos. Not at all like the "Apocolyptical Warrior wanna-bes" are hoping and believing will happen. Remember, anybody can stop a bullet, not just those who think they'll be the ones left here when it's all over.

I could go either way. I have a place I will move to and can by both air and sea. So I really don't need the e-way. I could care less for technolgy and would not mind turning the clock back a couple hundered years.

I could see people wanting it for two reasons.

    1. You've done all this preparing, you want to see if it'll work. Kinda like being all dressed up with no where to go.

    2. You feel as if you could lead people and or be seen as a leader because of your knowledge and abilities and seek some adversity to let those abilities shine through.

This strikes home as any one who practices a craft for an extended amount of time and want to test their skills

I think that is one of the reasons politicians find reasons to go to war on occasion, test their people against real world scenario

I find that the subconscious doesn't know the difference between practice and reality

So, it works well to continually push oneself, striving for perfection

In the back of your mind hoping the inevitable will happen, while in the forefront not wanting it to happen because your cushy life will end and things will be permanent...

Not the least bit interested in seeing TSHTF, but I fear it will. My job(s) require me to deal with small amounts of chaos and try to turn them into order. It is bad enough. Seeing that multiplied by any factor is not a pleasant thought.

Exclamation When the SHTF or TEOTWAWKI. . .

IMO, it's not a matter of "if" it's going to end, it's a matter of "when" it's going to end.

The way we continue to "sell" this country away is going to cause a collapse.

So many people are so da*n gung-ho to make the world a "global" community, that America will become non-existent! It's not getting better, it's getting worse.

And make no mistake about it, there will be another terrorist attack on U.S. soil. That too, is not a matter of "if" it's a matter of "when"!

Those of us that are prepared will be better off than those whom are not! Practice and preparation are not for nothing. . .they are for everything! Unless of course there is a nuclear attack or blast. Then it's a mater of WGAS!!

Typically in history, a power will only last on average about 200 years

It seems about the time we hit the 200 mark, things really started taking a downward turn

As much as some don't want to admit it

It will be from with in due to socialism

Socialism is a natural occurrence when a country stays to rich for to long

The hunger of self reliance melts away to indifference and expected unearned benefits (welfare mentality)

When I was younger I thought it would have been fun . But I am retired and old now , the body is almost used up , and the rocking chair is looking pretty good now , so no way would I want it to happen !! But it is gone to ,and the younger man and woman are the ones that will have to live up to it or... down as the case may be

WOW how armegedon is this thread! I personaly think that to be prepared for survival is important, when the shtf is a diffrent scenario all together because one is being in the wild and somthin goes wrong and the other when somthin goes wrong just a litle to close to home. Im actualy more prepared for problems at home then in the wild. This is cause i have a supply of food at my house and BOBs for all family members. If this happens it would suck. I do not want tsthtf Is what im saying but if it does im prepared( more so then the majority of the world).

Wishing don't have anything to do with it, if and when it happens we will have to deal with it the best we can, whether we are ready or not. So enjoy the learning of the life style now and ease the transition or adapt the hard way, makes no never mind when it comes.
