(* Heavy Sigh*) you are probably right Crash. They are always looking to exploit the slightest weakness. I hate virus makers.

But from what little I have been able to find out,Mostly by word of mouth, Kapersky is the next one I buy. I have not heard a single bad thing about it. All the others I have. Norton,symantec,McAfee,.......All of those have someone out there that has bought it and hated it. Kapersky seems to be the difference.

I was running AVG when I lost my old PC. Course it was the free version.

I think you missed my post Poco.
Keep in mind the problem may be extremely complicated, though the "Fix" is often simple...

No I saw it. But I would NOT advise going without protection. The virus that got my old Pc was just part of a full blown attack. It was viruses, trojans, and when the worm hit it was all over. I simply could not log in to my own PC at all, not even in safe mode. It is gone.

I do NOT know, but I believe the full version of any Program is much better than a free version. Before this attack, everyone was telling me AVG (free) was all I would need. It was the best you could get that was free.

Yeah but I had an old PC and I was already having "Issues" with it. Honestly I was expecting to lose it any day, Viruses or not. I had even Pm'ed the mods asking them to close the auction in case I lost my PC before I could. The viruses etc. just finished it off.
