    1. If it's in your kit and you don't know how to use it....It's useless.
    2. If you can't reach your kit when you need it....Its useless.

I am looking at airfare now. I think it would be cool, if everyday there were a few classes, taught by members, and we had a schedule of events, etc...

some ideas...Wilderness First-Aid basics, fire by friction, plant id, basic knots etc...

That way I could maybe write this off as a business expense (continuing education)

Once we find out who is coming and get an idea of the special skills then maybe we could put together some events.

Maybe NativeDude can attend and give a demonstration or two.

Now, if we had not Banned Bragg Creek, we could all stay in his 7 bedroom motorhome. That sucker is huge.

I really have to give this some serious thought. I would love to attend. The amount of knowledge and experience that would be sitting around the fire would be enormous. What a learning experience this will be. I feel like a young un that just got invited to the gathering of tribal elders.

The way Im looking at this is , I am planing on selling that 4 door ford to get a more economical daily driver and help pay some debt off, and what is left goes into my underware drawer for my AK JAMBOREE fund, plus it gives me three month to plan and save so I am all for it count me in.

If anyone is planning on doing some salmon fishing while here. You'll need a good 6 1/2 to 7 foot medium action rod and reel with high quality 20lb test line. You can get the lures up here.

I'm committed to hosting a conference with about 100 guests that very same weekend so it looks like I have to pass.
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

I'm finding round trip flights for $500. Which is a good price. I want to stay up there for about 10 days. I can hitch hike from anchorage to hope. I can pack all my own camping stuff, food, etc... so I can do this for pretty cheap for a ten day vacation, if there is free camping...

Are we sure on these dates? I am going to check prices for a week than buy a ticket, so if this event doesn't happen I at least want to be able to hang out at one of you guys places for a few daysand socialize, sight see....is that ok...

I guess this would be a good place to point out, that if you don't bring it to Sunrise, Alaska, you ain't got it. The nearest stores are Anchorage.

Jason: I've already scheduled that weekend off.

This is something that I would really love to do, but it's just not in the money or time budget right now. Someday.

Jason, I don't want you to have a premature orgasm, looking at photos. But, look up Six-mile creek, and google: www.chugachoutdoorcenter.com and www.novalaska.com and you can show your wife why it is a research/business trip.
