Glock question

I did hear that Glock is making a new long barreld model in either 9mm or .45
does anyone know what are the model #'s?

The longest they make is the model 17L and the model 24. The bad news is the model 17L and model 24 will no longer be imported to America, and I should guess not to Canada either. This is due to a.) lack of interest and b.) they were replaced by the model 34 and 35 which fit into the special box, which arms must fit into for some competition events. However I just bought a model 24 and there are a few, very few still available in North America. The model 24 has a lighter trigger pull, and comes with adjustable sights. You really do need to act quick if you want a long slide (6.02" Barrel). Also research: "Lone Wolf Barrels" for conversions. I am going to order a 6" threaded barrel for my G-24, and I may get a .357 Sig barrel for it also. Barrels run $99.00 to $125.00 each.

That is a 17L. Get one while you can because they don't import them any more as was stated ealier in this thread. For what it is worth I have shot both alot and kept my model 34 (9mm) because there is so little difference in feel. You can get a model 35 in .40 too if you wish. The largest .45 Glock makes is the model 21. The 21 does not have as long of a barrel as the 34/35. For the record the 34 is one of the most accurate, easy to shoot well, low recoil, user friendly pistols I have ever used. This thing shoots like ''all get out"! My choice of the 34 over the 17L was due to it's slightly more manageable dimensions with no degredation of performance. It is a really great performer in those "turn/point and shoot" drills we have discussed in an earlier thread. Good luck future Glock guy . Take care, Brother.

Naah,,too many good 1911 varients available in long barrel. Gotta stick with what works and is available.Besides if I showed up amongst my friends with one of those pretty guns, they would question my masculinity (and maybe my spelling too)

i found a gizmo that turns a Glock or 1911 ito a PDW or entry weapon.
folding & sliding stock, rails, lights, laser sights, you name it.
