Alright Ken....I went back and re-read my post, after reading yours. With the exception of them taking pictures of you cat, I don't see where I had anything wrong. LOL

Well I'm glad you're back home. Sounds like you've had a rough few weeks. Now make sure you follow dr's orders.

This was the best thread, on the forum, while you were gone. Don't worry about those "yankee lost", "yankee lost again", and "2D2K vs. Ken threads". You didn't really miss anything in those.

diverticulitis is what my grandma calls "dire particulitis". apparently it did in a lot of older folks when she was growing up. It is really lucky you found it before it got to be serious. Wishing you a speedy recovery, and much love.

So Ken, can a person "survive" on hospital food?

Now that's a handy survival skill.

Just checkin' in. I'm still under the weather, folks. Real serious abdominal pain. Antibiotics, but no pain killers except at night before bed so I can get a few hours sleep. This may last a few weeks or longer.

No. Everything tasted like crap. I'll bet that the coffee was brewed in the morgue. They even screwed up the pudding. The ONLY food that was barely recognizable was the scrambled eggs and english muffins.

Couldn't eat for the first two days. I couldn't swallow the swill they served after the third day. Yes, quite a bit of what I ate was takeout.

My meals weren't delivered by caterers, but I did manage to get my hands on some smuggled food, including two REAL burgers, a lobster salad roll, a veal picatta, some cheese danish (the pastry, not the people) 3 coffee frappes, and 2 cups of D&D coffee.

I can eat pretty much anything without seeds or nuts - as long as it's low spice and low residue. So feel free to send lobster, shrimp, tenderloin, and caviar.......
