    Default Swanndri Mosgiel Bushshirt

I picked up this Coat/Shirt at a resale shop last spring. Mine is missing the hood.
I had heard great things about this little Aussie tradition from some of my Archery gang. It is an odd fit but the wool is good so I thought I'd give it some trials. I wore it during some rather heavy rain in the spring, and it shed water really well! I was dry inside.
Well, This morning it was finally cool enough to check it's warmth. The thermometer read 10 with about a 30mph wind. I donned my lightweight coat and proceeded to shovel my way to the wifes Jeep (about 100yds) and cleaned the snow and ice off it for her. I'm only wearing lounge pants and a t-shirt under the wool and after 30 min. outside I felt No cold (on my trunk) through the coat. The longer cut, almost to the knee, looks kind of funky but earned its keep in the wind. I must say I'm impressed.
If you get a chance to get your hands on one of these , I highly recommend your best bulldog grip.

There is nothing wrong with a long cut. I have an M-51 fishtail parka and it's the berries!!

Looks somewhat along the lines of a Capote.

They are nice and warm. I have the wool to make my Son one. Plans are for it to be his Christmas present this year.
