    Default I am buggin...

Well life sure takes interesting turns... I have the opportunity of my lifetime. I am relocating to Michigan. Upper Peninsula. I am looking forward to this like you wouldn't believe... I am headed out on the 3rd of December and will likely take 20 or so hours to get there. I could go quicker...but the call of nature will prevail, and I am gonna need a nap or 2 along the way. Wish me luck... Beetle

Not being very good at US geography, why is it so special?

You sort of left us hanging. What's the opportunity of a lifetime? Anyway. Congrats and have a safe trip.

"I enjoy surviving." Yes, well I certainly hope so as the other side of that is "DEATH!"

Thank you very much. The opportunity IS to move there, and stay. The area is beautiful, the weather is nice and cool, and family will be too far away to just "drop in" for a "couple" of days.

Now when they come to visit, it is much longer, "cause it is too much hassle to go back and forth, let's just stay longer". Don't ask how I know this.

Howdy!!!...I arrived in Michigan safe and sound early Friday morning...though no saner than when I left. I am now happily situated on the Upper Peninsula...and can look out my kitchen window and see Lake Superior...AWESOME!!! The drive took about 16 hours...not too bad. The weather was clear...and I never wish to drive through Ohio again! Nothing against Ohio...but the Akron/Cleveland stretch during 5 o'clock rush hour is INSANE!!! Who in their right mind puts a 90* leftward curve in the middle of an Interstate Highway??? Holy Carp!!! No wonder that particular curve is called "Dead Man's Curve"...nasty bit of business there... I am impressed with the people who drive that commute every day...though I do question their sanity... It is a beautiful area up here...I am gonna love every minute of this new life...and yes i am expecting and welcoming the snow and wind that is on its way...my kind of life I tell you!!
