I've been thinking about purchasing a pair of four foot speakers. Then when they come by I'll blast polka music at them. That ought to do it!

I thought about this a couple of years ago.

We went through this short term when we lost power after hurricane Wilma. We lost power for a little over a week. The generator died in the second hour after the storm. We actually had a great time. Cold showers aren't that bad down here, It stayed kinda cool. I had a well stocked supply of food and water. Actually,we had folks coming by to hang out that had power.

I started looking at what ifs back then. I don't smoke anymore. I drink and I think I can make my own just fine. I also drink coffee and I found a wild coffee that grows down here. Though it is not caffeinated.

I would definitely miss the internet. But, I had my cell phone set up to tether to my laptop and I could run that off of the inverter in my truck.

Anyway, I am the beginning of the foot path to learning how to get by on the stuff that is available in nature. I figure by the time I die I'll be able to get by with nothing...

I found something better than Polka music ........I picked up a Yoko Ono album!
I was thinking about a contact EMP device to set in the road and fry their electronics.

The net... being a free source of information for the things I don't know yet..
Coffee.. something has gotta get me going in the mornings
Cigs.. can't have coffee without smokes.
MUSIC.. My whole life has had music. I love it. I would eat it if I could, and drink it.. it soothes my soul and calms my stresses. It distracts me from all the drudgery of life, if only for a short while.
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. Helen Keller

SARKY, check on the bottom of your hunting license, the fine print:
Says, "You may shoot at any and all vehicles that play rap and loud bass.
Automatic weapons will be allowed, but large caliber hand guns are considered more "sporting".

I have to completely agree with the items and reasoning on there. The only thing I would add, is my tent. Anything here in FL that would cause this situation would probably tear my tent down, or at the least flood it to the point I'd be out of it for a few days.

Don't use the Yoko OH NO! That will get you life without the possibility of Parole! The EMP is a better choice, the alphabet police will just question you on where you got it then put you in WIT-SEC program and relocate you where you won't be bothered again.

Ever consider a hammock?? One of those jungle hammocks would probably work fine.
