Default Greetings, again, from Long Island, New York

    Hi all. Scott here
28 year old male currently residing in Long Island New York.
i was a member on these forums a lil while back when i was living in Oregon and Northern California. I was pretty much traveling back and forth at the time, just checking out alot of the area. these forums came very much in handy at the time. I have since goten back to new york about a year ago and havent had much computer access. went to post again, and it seemed my account was deleted. maybe because of inactivity? i dont know but anyway.
at the moment im just back in long island with the family....waiting to get mobile agian as i had an insurance lapse for a long time and havent been able to register a car for over a year. this january i will be able to again and im excited to get a car on the road and head out and do some traveling again.
i used to travel on foot. as well as motor vehicaly, but for a while i was hitchiking and just walking alot. good times. ive seen a whole lota places. but thats a whole nother story. lol.
ive been to some wilderness survival gatherings and outings. out in oregon mostly. but ive also got together with friends and weve had some amazing outings ourselves. i still have alot to learn, but am very passionate about wilderness survival.
ive dont alot more research than having applied it, however i hope to get back out there soon to do that.
till then im tryin to accumulate addequate gear as well as knowledge.
this place is great for that. the internet in general is a plethora of knowledge on the subject.
and compared to when u used to try to research on it years ago, its come a long way with the amount of information, instructional videos and the like.
well, i guess thats it for now. i look forward to learning alot from you guys once again, and will certainly be talking to you all soon!
    =)
    peace
    Scott
