    Default Scamming the Public

For those of us who opposed EVERY SINGLE DIME appropriated for corporate bailouts and the so called "stimulus plan" this comes as no surprise. None at all. It was a "Pork Festival" from the very start.

Still, the people who have authorized many of these projects should be in prison.

Those don't bother quite as bad as some others I've read about. But I agree, ill conceived and executed worse.

Around here they are going to convert an old rail bed into a bike path with some of the money. It pisses me off! They say it will create jobs. IMO not long term jobs. There is a bridge that has been deemed not safe for trains. These geniuses think if it can't hold a train then it can't hold a bike either. So, for an extra 3 million we get a bike bridge.

Hey!... I live near gillette stadium!!... Geesh, do u have any idea what games do to traffic in a 10 mile radius?....

Seriously... A footbridge will create a few construction job.. But for the long-term I only see it lining Kraft's already fat pockets.... Theses wastes of money are sad!... Even sadder is that most people don't even seem to care....

Just wait until election time, when all the politicians brag about all the federal money they brought home to their state/district, and they get re-elected because of it.

I have a question and it might be some what political in nature but bear with me. How many of these pork projects have gone to blue areas of their respective states? And how many have SEIU involvement?

Sarky - It's split up by unemployment rates. I know. I know. All I can tell you is what the criteria is supposed to be. Here's a map that shows the amounts each state was supposed to receive. Just roll your cursor over a state and the amount will display. The map was created in January so I don't what the difference is between what they were supposed to receive and what they actually received.
