    Default Views of the farm

OK I know some of you are kinda' curious about the Farm we just moved to, So I thought I'd post a few pics. All are taken from the house and back pasture, but you can see the road if you look close in a couple of the pics. This Farm needs a LOT of work. Today we did some fencing and moved some of the horses to the back pasture. So I grabbed the camera and took it along. Here we go....

You noticed!!! She took a leak right after I snapped the pic!! LOL Only you Rick.I shoulda' known!!
The windows face North in the sunroom/living Room/Den Whatever you want to call it LOL. Looking back at the house to take the pic I was facing south. If you look in the one where you can see the old Arena, past that is the trailer, then the Barn, then the road. So we are situated well off the road. If you go to photobucket under my Pocomoonskyeyes acct.in the "Farm Album" there are more pics. I think 26 in all. The back pasture is east and the Barn is west.

Just wait 'till the snow covers those hills. The boys will have a ball sledding.

Thank you everybody. It ain't fancy, but then neither am I. The house looks much better since I chopped down all the weeds that were surrounding it. If you look at the picture of the back pasture where Dottie is sitting down. You can still see some of the damage from last winters Ice Storm. One whole side of a tree is down in the back pasture, But My Chainsaw needs to go in the shop before I try that monster!! I may even have to get a bigger chainsaw. The house was originally a concession stand for the "Arena" where they held Barrel Racing Events. It has been added on to and probably will have more added on to it in the future. First things First though, Gotta' get it up in good shape first. There hasn't been phone, cable, or internet service here for 5 years until we moved in. The sunroom is where I am sitting at this very moment. Even if it is on the wrong side of the house to be called a "sunroom". LOL

You'll learn to love that north facing room. A south facing room with those windows can be a benefit in winter but hotter than heck in the summer. That same room facing north doesn't get that late afternoon sun so it's very comfortable sitting out there. My sun room is on the north side of the house and I'm pretty happy with it there.

Maybe not as pretty as yours Hope, But it sure is relaxing, first thing in the morning with my cup of coffee. It really helps put a person in the "right frame of mind" to start a day. Just knowing that I am on the SAME property as my horses means a lot in itself. I think I would have settled for a barn with a big enough loft to make an apartment in. Dottie/Equus is more relaxed now that we are out of Town and with her "Other babies" the horses. I think she could live in the remotest of places as long as she had her critters. I think she would be happy living on the moon as long as she had family and her Fur family too. She would have to be a MUCH better prepper to live there though. LOL Lots of work to do though. I know a little of how you feel now.

That's so cool! Nothing beats having your own private paradise You're lucky you can keep animals there. I do envy you that. Pats to the horses and a "moo" to the neighbours!
And I'd use the pool for swimming...

heh.. you keep saying it ain't all that, but it's 10x nicer than my house with 20x more land. Looks super to me. I'd love to live there. It looks like a little piece of heaven. Congratulations Mel! I know you guys will love it once you get settled in.
