    Default Cowboy Swine Flu

Well I think I have it.

    My symptons-
    1. Head hurt for about a week
    2. Woke up this am with thick green mucus dropping from my head
    3. Also woke up with a sore throat.
    4. Temp is 99 but have taken Dayquil.
    5. Seem to be a little achy as well but then that is hard for me to tell I stay sore from day to day from work and play.

I took the standard flu shot so I am pretty sure it isn't that. I have decided to ride this one out after much indecision. None of the 3 of us have had the swine flu shot. Sticking to my guns beleiving in a strong immune system developing out of good health and less dependance on antibiotics. We are all in good health. I'll keep you guys posted.
Keep in mind the problem may be extremely complicated, though the "Fix" is often simple...

Sounds like that strong immune system is working out well for you.

Take care and hope you feel better soon.

    My symptons-

Adding my glands under my arms swole up a week ago, but have since resided.

    Rick,

You can't fight off an infection your immune system has never seen as efficiently. I still beleive it is a strong system of defense and once having overcome this. I will be stronger for it.

Get well soon, Cowboy, I'm still wondering whether or not I had it a few months ago. Didn't feel ill enough to go to docs though. I do remember venting at 2Dumb has a positive effect though!

Really it feels like the normal flu. I never let sickness put me in the bed. I am fully dressed and piddling around in and out of the house. Just checked my temp. again and it is 98.3 F now. Just not feeling that well. I think the outcome will be confirming the media hype!

As long as you feel better soon, that's the main thing. I'm much the same although I do let everyone know I'm ill

    Rick,

Who was it that thought they might have contracted limes disease after the jamboree? I remember something about lymph nodes swelling up with that bought?

It was PGVOutdoors that was ill. Some of the forum folks suggested it might be Lyme disease.

Your right Crash, I haden't remembered as well. Anyway I thought it might have been described similar to the way I am feeling...

Sounds like a sinus infection to me. JMO
The headache and green crud is a big clue.

I usually have dull headache for days before it finally hits. Sometimes you get post nasal drip that can drain down the back of your throat and get in your lungs too. Then you have one big upper respiratory infection and will probably need antibiotics if you can't beat it on your own.

If you still have the creeping crud try a saline sinus rinse. It's not fun but you get used to it and it can help.

    Hope you feel better soon!!
"I enjoy surviving." Yes, well I certainly hope so as the other side of that is "DEATH!"

Cowboy, how long after you got the flu shot did the symptoms start?
Sometimes the shots cause a less severe course of the disease.
Swine flu tends to cause folks to crawl to their beds and drink whole bottles of nyquil. In other word it floors most folks.
