    Default Hello from the Ozarks

Hi all, I guess it's time to introduce myself on a new forum again, heheh. I do like spreading my horizons a bit, or in other words, gather information from as many sources as possible.

While gathering that information, I've always believed it's only right to share whatever info I have that may help. As much of a hillbilly as I may be, there is no denying the power and utility of the 'net. It's good that like minded folks can share info like this.

About me, well, I'm a 36 year old woods bum, cut my teeth in the Ozark backwoods. My family has deep ties there, and it's only natural that I learned the ways of a hillbilly, heheh. I do live in the city now, and believe it or not, I even went to college! I guess I'm the liberals worst nightmare... an educated redneck, heheh. Of course, I think there are more of us than they like to admit... it's a comforting thought.

My experience with survival strategies, techniques, gear, and mindset all come from real world experience. I admit I can be harsh at times, but that is because I have no tolerance for the typical B.S. you see nowadays. As far as I'm concerned, people like Bear Grylls need to quit giving bad info that could get people killed. Of course, anyone stupid enough to follow his lead... well, there are certain types we could do without.

Well, I look forward to participating here, it's nice to find a forum with this subject matter that isn't dedicated to guns and fighting... there is sooo much more to it.

    Hello and welcome....
If by what I have learned over the years, allow me to help one person to start to prepare. If all the mistakes I have made, let me give one person the wisdom that allows them to save their life or the life of a loved one in an emergency. Then I will truly know that all the work I have done will have been worth every minute.

Learning is not compulsory. Neither is survival.

    Welcome!
"I enjoy surviving." Yes, well I certainly hope so as the other side of that is "DEATH!"
