Default DV on Elmendorf AFB next Wednesday

Looks like the President himself will be coming to Elmendorf on Veterans Day for a short pit stop and speech. Should make for an interesting time.

He's not too busy to go there. He is too busy to attend the commemoration of the anniversary of the Wall coming down ...... Oh wait, that would mean recognizing something Reagan did. Nevermind.

The Wall came down a few months after I left Germany. I would have loved to have been there for that.

Well the wife and I are going to see Mr. Obama today. Figure it's a once in a lifetime event so I might as well go.

The President gave a 15 minute speech on Base yesterday. We were shuttled to the hangar at 0900 where we waited until 1330 for him to show up. It was a mad house. His speech can be seen here http://www.ktuu.com/

No matter what he is the CIC and the most powerful man in the World so I couldn't miss this once in a life time opportunity.

You do know that I think it's friggin' hilarious, that you got the perfect picture, of him looking at the teleprompter! LOL

(BTW, I agree with your reason for going.)
