Thread: Utah solar homesteader survivalist

    Default Utah solar homesteader survivalist

New here but a long time off-grid homesteader and survivalist.

I live in Utah at the foot of the Uintah mountains in a solar cabin I designed and built myself. I garden, raise animals, hunt and fish for most of my food needs.

Heres a video of my cabin if interested:

Hope to make some friends and share ideas!

That depends on who you ask. Why would anyone want to live in Utah anyways? Oh yeah, mountains and snow bunnies.

    Welcome Lamar.

Wow so many responses and so little time!

Thank you all for the warm welcome and I love to share ideas on solar cabins and homesteader survival skill!

They say Utah is a state but we tend to think of it as our own country LOL!

Yes there was an old power pole on the property but I wanted out of the system and use solar, wind and propane for all my power. I use the old power pole for my tv antennae.

    Have a great day all!

Hello and welcome to the asylum
If by what I have learned over the years, allow me to help one person to start to prepare. If all the mistakes I have made, let me give one person the wisdom that allows them to save their life or the life of a loved one in an emergency. Then I will truly know that all the work I have done will have been worth every minute.
