His pack of mighty mutt weiner mix seems to have grown,and grown brave once again,ran them off this time,got the 22 down,cleaned it up and loaded it,not running them off next time.

Yep.the chickens have figured out though that they will not cross the electric fence,so thats where they head.Purposely placed one strand of wire very low to the ground to keep that supid things out out of the small barn lot,the goats do an amazing job keeping them out of the 2 acre field.

I like dogs better than I like most people, but if a dog gets aggressive(or problematic) on my property.....we go back to the laws of nature.

I'm behind you on this one nell. Heck....I'm not even gonna make a joke about you going on a wiener hunt. LOL

Have you talked to him about it? At least tell him that his dogs will die if they get on your property. Maybe use traps instead, so it is the dogs fault, and not your choice. I would think that shooting the neighbors dogs would get you in trouble and that there would be a more "legal" way of handling it.

If I have to,yea,we had an out back in the spring when these dogs killed 30+ of my chickens then,and the local LEO's told me to do what ever I need to do,just do it on my property,he ended up in jail for threatening,and it helped that the LEO's found out about the side business he had going....

Looking at your post to crash, I say shoot them on site. It sounds like you have already taken the necessary steps. I wouldn't even tell the neighbor.

I agree here. Shoot it on site while it's attacking the chickens.

Skin & gut. Dog meat is good I heard for stew. Great cold winter dish.

Make a fur hat and show the neighbors. Haha.

Sounds like a green light to me. If he can't control his animals he doesn't deserve to have them...

I once had a neighbor's dog I couldn't keep out of my trash. I took some insulated #10 ground wire and stripped the insulation off the same width as the opening to my trash area (inside a fence). Then I plugged one side into the hot side of 115V receptacle. I've never seen a dog pee and run at the same time but that rascal did a remarkable job of doing both. He's never been back and that was nearly 35 years ago.
