    I don't think the world has come to this. The point of the posting was to illustrate how far society has evolved to the current point of political correctness. And the exact point is, "back in the day" these types of commercials had little or not effect on the average child. What effect the new stuff will have ? My guess almost none. It takes parents not a village to raise good citizens

    Oh, I think all those commercials have an impact. When you see something over and over and over it has to affect your thinking. No company would purposely target kids in mass media and spend millions of dollars to do it if it didn't have the affect they intend.

    I do agree with you about raising a child but mass media affects how they perceive a particular item.
