Mine happens to be an over 9 ft alligator with a Glock .40. Second would be 150 lb plus deer with a S&W 4006 in .40 cal, third would be a 280 lb wild hog with a S&W 686 .357 mag. All one shot stops. Share ya story!

Several years ago I was shooting to kill a 200+ lb rooster
and instead turned him into a hen.
From now on, it's shotguns for me.
125 lb. whitetail doe at 20 yards with a desert eagle .50 autoloader.
197 lb Dressed out whitetail deer with a Ruger Bisley in .41Mag
I know what hunts you.
125lb 3pt whitetail with a bow. Missed the 8, the 6 busted me drawing, and the 3pt was just diddy bopping along.
Sarky, I too am a 41 mag fan. It definately gets overlooked nowadays for the really big stuff. Not that there is anything wrong with that but I've personally never needed anything larger than the .44 mag or .41 mag for my hunting. Hell, I've done just fine with a .357 mag for 50 yrds and less on deer. It too gets overlooked as a short range deer getter. Ruger revolvers RULE the hunting woods IMO. Simple, rugged, accurate, and economical. What more could you want. Best.
#165 lb spike buck, Ruger .44 Bisley, 40 yds, down hill, neck shot, dropped where it stood.
Also shot a hole in my insulated bibs, on the top of the knee.
Note to self: using your knee for a rest is not a good idea.

1. Sets self on fire. 2. Shoots knee cap off.
You just might be a candidate for socialized medicine. I don't think your wife can afford to keep you as is.

LOL, that has kinda been brought up, but her BF is left handed, so can't use my stuff.(joke)
Didn't shoot it off, just put a hole thru two layers of insulation, (missed the third).
Gotta tell ya, though, the recoil of the end of the barrel, smacked the knee cap real good, to the point that I didn't care if the deer dropped, or not.
Kept thinking of the news report:
"In other news, Mr. Dumas has just shot off his knee cap, wasn't that dumb?"
Was sitting next to a tree, using the .44, as I had already killed a buck in the morning, this buck (didn't know it was a buck till I saw the stubby "devil horns", about 1" high and about 1' around.).
Deer came in to view, used my knee as a rest from a sitting position, lined up the shot and squeezed. Guess I didn't have the barrel pushed far enough forward.
If I'm gonna do, that I need a much longer barrel, so guess I'll have to take the .357 smith.

Yeah, I like my .41's got 5 now. besides the bisley, a Bisley Hunter model, Taurus titanium Tracker and two marlin lever guns.
I know what hunts you.
Water buffalo with a 45, back when I drank some. I really don't know if I killed it or it's owner. Never mind, shouldn't have told that one, I did happen to step on a copperhead with the head and about 5" sticking out. My faithful Ruger Single Six missed the first 5 shots, now I use 22mag snake shot, bifocals make for tricky close shots. Still have all toes.
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he's too old
to fight... he'll just kill you.
I was pretty sure you didn't drink any more....no less, but no more.

Un-weighed antelope (how do you guys get the weight of your animals? Do you take them to a butcher for processing or something? ) taken just last week. It was a 75 yard shot with a S&W 686+ Mountain Gun firing 180 gr. Hornady XTPs.
LOL, I wondered that also, but they had a hanging scale at the check in station, so if you want to drag it out of the truck, you can weigh it.
They also cut the jaw and age it for you, by the teeth.
The "knee buck" in question, (that's what everyone called it) was 4 years old, and according to the warden would have never got any bigger horns.
I had to register as an "antlerless".
