    LOL...No need for all that.

Way back when.....(Late 80's) I drove trucks, long distance. I got stopped for a random D.O.T. (or what ever they call it, up there.) check. My permit to be in Canada was expired. They said that meant that I was "illegally transporting goods". I didn't have enough cash, to pay the fine, so I was under arrest, until the company that I was driving for, wired me the money to pay it.

There was a story on the news a while back where a guy played along, convinced the scammer that he wanted to help, actually got the idiot to sent some money ($200 I think) so that he could clear up some kind of hold on his account. I LMAO when I heard that.

Come to think of it.....it's probably a good thing, that when they were looking around, in my truck, they didn't find my gun! LOL

It's funny. The story is usually accompanied by pics of some slutty looking American who claims she's marooned there because her film company is holding her check for some inane reason or other. Within 3 e-mails, you're engaged to marry her. However, the e-mail writing style changes from good to barely understandable depending who's on duty in the scammer's office at the time.

I had the last one freaking out when I told "her" I had just killed my landlord to rob the money I was going to send her. As I recall, her "name" was Mary Austin.

It's funny that they only take the guns away from the law - abiding citizens who register them. If I was going to shoot someone, you can bet I wouldn't do it with a traceable gun.
As it is, noone ever taught me how to shoot and take care of a gun (and I grew up on a cattle ranch!), even though I've always wanted to learn.

In Switzerland, everyone has a gun - and there is almost no gun crimes at all.

I want the civilian version of the C 14 Timberwolf so badly. So far I’ve been able to talk myself out of it.

Yes. As soon as there is a large portion of the political class that feels you should not be able to own them. But really - since the pen is mightier than the sword - why don't we register them?

Why don't we just register that class of people? It won't be long before the government confiscates THEM and the problem will be solved!

We could just sprinkle them with Wet Fire Tinder. They'd head for the nearest pond but it won't do any good.

Here's a lack of gun control.

Man charged after ATV driver shot

    By The Canadian Press
    Mon. Oct 5 - 10:29 AM

SHELBURNE — RCMP in southwestern Nova Scotia say a man is facing charges after the driver of an ATV was shot over the weekend.

Michael Goulden, 49, of Carleton Village, near Shelburne, is charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, careless use of a firearm and pointing a firearm.

Police say the 28-year-old driver of the all-terrain vehicle was shot in the back with a 12-gauge shotgun.

Police say two ATVs were allegedly being driven in a reckless manner when a man fired two rounds from a gun.

The victim was treated in hospital and released.

Police say they have also seized a total of 43 firearms and a large quantity of ammunition.

That's just a criminal act and nothing to do with gun control IMO.

I don't see what one has to do with the other. Sorry.

More a lack of control on Michael Goulden’s part. Gun registration and the ongoing amnesties are a nightmare. I can only guess at the amount of folks that just never bothered with it. The gun registry was backed mostly by the urban population with little regard for the rural one. Heavy opposition fell on deaf ears. There is still allot but it’s an uphill battle. I only kept two of my guns when it came in. Other than hunting season they tend to be a pain in the arse because of the laws.
