    Default help Amber Climb

OK mountain Mama i dont know you so i am going to ask the other members here if i should contribute to your daughters climbing fund. As a former rock and alpine climber i would like to help a young climber, But i have to know it's legit. If you post a address too send a donation to and the other members here agree that this is a good investment i will send 100.00 dollars.

huntermj, I really appreciate the offer and your support. However, I need to update the website because Amber has already finished with Nationals for this year and no longer needing donations at this time. That being said, when the next season starts, we will probably be selling more bracelets.

She kinda wigged out at nationals and didn't do her best. It was a new experience for her, but she really is a great climber.

    Thanks again!

Oh, also if anyone wants verification of Amber, you can contact Sus with either http://frontboise.com/ OR http://www.asanaclimbing.com/ or Pete at http://www.boisepeakfitness.com/ . She is pretty well-known around the Boise climbing community for being such a young climber.

I'm working on updating her webpage but have forgotten a few of the steps, so it may be tomorrow before I get it done. She will be competing in the Pocatello Pump in September http://www.isu.edu/outdoor/pump.shtml

Sorry i was too late to help this year. The pressure of climbing while being judged is intense. I am sure you already do but please watch that she does'nt push herself too hard, Ive seen a lot of 14 year olds with most of there fingers wrapped because they have torn the tendons. Its a great sport and a good way to build a persons confidence and self esteem. Good job MM in supporting your kid, not enough people do. And good luck to Amber.

Thanks, huntermj! Amber is pretty amazing (if I do say so myself). The way I see it, if they don't stay busy, they won't stay out of trouble. I'm just glad she has found a passion for rock climbing. I don't push her, she pushes herself. I'm just there as a spotter, belay, and moral support. You're right about the intensity, although I think it is more stressful for Amber being in front of people she doesn't know than actually being judged. She is a very shy girl.
