    Default My adventure

So I took my friend up the river today for her b-day. She has been cooped up all summer with her hubby and her kid and needed a quiet day out. She had never been here so we loaded up the quads and rode down the the river. It was very nice and quiet. It gave us some perspective as too where we would go when the SHTF. It has water, grass, some trees etc. Obviously we would need to keep moving but it is a good starting point. Anyway, thought
I would share some pics of the fun...

    Going in...

And as we were sitting and having a beer...a hawk just up and landed next to us. Looked like he was trying to catch the little fishies in the stream. and yes, I said fishies... I had to get up and get my camera so I as I tried to get back to where I was he flew off, this is all I got of him!

yea yea yea! I just said that it was a good place to start, we can follow the river up to some mountains...right? We are working on a plan, not sure how exactly we are going to do things yet, if we can get away with it we are going to haul everything as far as we can drop the vehicles and ride horses after that, but if not, we have to start somewhere!

OMG also, you know where trees is? as you get the the water in box, that big area to the left with all the salt cedars up in there? All the trees are broken down! AHHH I was so mad!

We did have a relaxing day, it was so quiet and pretty, and GREEN! I haven't seen green in forever! I am tired of brown!

Hey wareagle- I would sure appreciate any ideas, I haven't figured out anything yet. I have been thinking about it but not sure what route to take. I want to get into the mountains somewhere.

well first tell what modes you have to get out, i know you have said gas guzzlers but one or two have to pull the trailer and quads eh? you can pm me that info if you don't want the whole world to know
second, i used to get my maps from wide world of maps, if i recall it was around 19th ave and either indian school or thomas.
also my good freind still lives down there cactus and black canyon freeway area, he is born and raised there and has horse property right in town, ii'm gonna see ifn i can get him to join here, i know he is building a cabin in the mtns(he can say where) but he would be a great source of info, especially with the horses

ok, so my boy is in colorado this weekend, i sent him a message, hopefully he will join up, he is about as cowboy as you can get, we used to ride bull together back in the day, heck he even won the payson rodeo, i think in 99 or 2000 can't remeber which, but now he has a baby on the way so no more bulls, but he is a horesman thru and thru , i think he would be great here, plus now that he has a family there are things i want him to think about
