You didn't expect me to fire the Leaf Spring Knife on the first go....??? Well part of grilling is controlling your fire and the Hair Drier does a great job.. Better than my previous intimate appointment with a grill...

I love multi use items. You can forge a knife AND have a burger at the same time. Sweeeeet! Nice job.

You could always use the grill to make knives.

The forge wasn't pink but the burgers were. And I noticed a pink float ring on the porch there. I'm sure that one is CS's. Either that or it's one of those hemorrhoid cushions. Just sayin'.

Nah! no competition but there has been alot of info sharing. Hoping to heat treat the leafspring knife today. I need to finish a long handle for a magnet used to ensure I get the blade hot enough but not too hot and a little more grinding on the blade first. It has been a rewarding process. I am looking around for an anvil now. Probably will use a section railroad track since apparently there is a big movement towards blacksmithing you can't find a deal on a used one!

Yeah Ya'll Have done a lot of info sharing. And I really didn't mean COMPETITION- competition, just the friendly sort, like "Hey See what I did?" More of a motivation kinda' thing. You even got me in on this,I've been going everywhere trying to find something, anything to help ya'll out. Still looking though.... I've been to twenty or thirty sites in the last hour or so, when I should be in bed...well maybe not that many. but I've been "favoriting" the most promising sites, and I'll have to go back and look more in depth. If I find anything I'll let ya'll know.

Saweeeet! Let me know how it goes cause I got to get me a working forge. I have some forging steel coming and want to start pounding steel. No competition here. I love to share as much as I love to learn.

Well I haven't got around to finishing the knife yet... It has been a hectic week maybe this weekend? Thankyou to everyone for the compliments. It really wasn't much of build more of just getting all of the stuff together to build it. Boy I will be glad when my stuff is all at one house. Yesterday someone called codes division on my old house for the grass not being cut. So I took 1/2 day today to go and do it.. The officer didn't laugh when I told him it was cause they wouldn't arrest the a__hole that stole my mower. But hey it's cut now! I did notice a car without a tag at the B-t-h-s house that called. Guess she is gonna be moving it!
