One of the basic skills for survival, could be the ability to with NO warning, RUN like HELL was after you, not jog, but run wide a$$ open because your life depends on it. Can you even remember the last time you ran wide open...? Say a 220 or 440 yard sprint. Interesting the skills we choose to hone......and those we avoid........

Clarification: For those who are thinking this involves shooting.......No, I am thinking people running for their life away from the collapsing World Trade Center. People running for their life from the Tsunami in Asia. People running From the field to the basement, and away from a tornado. People running for their life from a shooter the the bell tower who has killed 31 people. Civilians running for their life from approaching enemy helicopters. SORRY....NO SHOOTING.......Just run wide open or DIE. Maybe we should spend more time running, and less time rubbing sticks together....
