marlin 60/ glenfield owners, i need your help

i'm trying to see if the distance from the inside front edge of the front tube band to the inside front edge of receiver stays the same through different models and years. if any one has one they would be willing to measure and post w/ measurement, model and year it would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a old 60 somewhere but the trick will be to find it, so if and when I do you'll be the first to know t.r. 10-04?

Not sure how old mine is. I got it in about 1980 and it had been well used when I picked it up. Measurement is 17 7/8".

Is that old 60 a Beretta by any chance? 'Cause I have it from a reliable source that those things will run off on occasion. If it turns up missing....I'll bet it's a Beretta. That's how they are.

Nope - checked the barrel - says Glenfield Mod. 60, Marlin Arms, New Haven Ct. Could have been a ghille suit - I'd better check.

thanks guys, sarge i thought of that but they don't have an e mail tech support. it has to be done by snail mail. i'll try calling tomorrow and see where that gets me. it's just that...i want what i want when i want it and i want it NOW.

tried calling and found out the have seven different tube lengths but not able to give me any measurements that i needed.

I'm missing mine also along with the rest of the rifle but I still have to look at my other place :P to the haters.
