    Default Hot today

Temp last time I checked, was 98* here today, the humidity is horrible, sitting here looking out the door at a group of Amish women walking down the road in their long dresses and no shoes, they must have the toughest feet ever,I can barely tolerate walking on the road with my shoes on,but they do it barefooted, even on gravel..yikes,my tootsies are too sensitive for that!

Sounds about like the weather we're getting here. Supposed to hit triple digits over the weekend. Our AC has decided that now was a good time to not work quite the way it was intended.

Just checked and here it is 88*,I am sitting in fronbt of a fan right now, that may or may not be helping....wonder how the Amish survive with not even a fan.

Went for a walk in the woods today though and it was pretty comfortable with a slight breeze.

It's like anything - you get used to it I guess. I work outside all day, climbing around houses and into attics. You know that the attic is warm when touching the wooden trusses can put a blister on your hand. It's funny - I don't mind working in the heat at all, but when I'm done working I like it a little cooler.

The Dew point was 72 at noon. Florida weather without the surf. Huge line of thunderstorms moving in from Illinois.

Looks like your area has been having some nasty weather for a couple of days. Everybody stay safe.

We typically get a lot of afternoon or evening thunder boomers. Gets real hot and then a cooler sea breeze will kick in or the sea breeze off the Atlantic and Gulf meet. Last night the weather radio started going off around 5pm and didn't stop until after 1am.

If my wife had her way that's exactly what would happen to it. A couple of nights ago thunderstorms where the winds hit about 65 with a nice light show - then we had tornadoes in the area - she becomes a believer in those situations.

Sounds like a hot summer. Today it is 101 and a humidity of 90% feels like ........

I had no idea it got that hot up there, and was thinking how Id love to move further north with the cooler temperatures. Didnt know I had to go to Canada to do it, and I also thought the midwest had a more dry heat. Myself Ill take the cold anyday.
