    Default Free web page hosting?

Can someone recommend some free web page hosting, preferably without ads? Geocities is closing "soon", and my Comcast page manager sucks.

There was one called "Freeweb" or "Freenet" or something. Anyone remember what that was?

Not requiring Java would be even better. (Weebly seems to require Java as it locked up when I registered for a page and it was loading something, and my Firefox has Java turned off.)

Weebly looks good to me. It's gotten lots of good reviews.

Freewebs.com works for me. Its free with a few small ads, or pay $9 bucks a year to be ad free, pay a little more and get your own domain name

Freewebs.com now resolves to www.webs.com, but I will look into it. Thanks.

You might look at Bluehost.com, too. They are 6.95 a month but you get a free Domain name, free ecommerce cart and a bunch of credits for advertising on places like google and yahoo. I've used their professional service for a couple of years now and their tec support is great.

Webs.com does not require Java, and the free package allows you to upload one file at a time. To upload more than one file at a time, get the premium package. So far it's looking good. I signed up but can't post the link here.
