Hi Folks

I have been reading this forum and lurking and even getting compliments about stuff I have made. But I feel like I am not giving anything back.

Being a new guy I figure I may have different views or ideas that may not have been brought up yet.

If you have any questions that you think I may be able to help you on with my limited knowledge please feel free to ask so I may be able to donate something to the forum.

Hey kid, be patient. You've already contributed a lot with your leather and steel skills. Hang & learn, then when you see an opening where you can contribute, jump in! BTW, here's a question I have about the movie: "The Hunted". in the final end-part of the film, Benico Del Toro quickly builds a forge and makes himself a home-made knife in very little time. I'm wondering if that was feasible at all?

First off I am no expert at forging but have done some

If I had a full forge and tools with it and started out with a piece of steel that was close to
what I wanted I could probably make his crude knife in an hour or so

My opinion not happening but I have been wrong before.

speaking of the knife he made did he use a hammer...who carries a hammer in the wild ...if not that knife would have been crap...lol at movies

Actually ha ha, I have a small pole ax that I carry, they call them bag ax's and the poll is a hammer.

Neat thing, waited 2 years for the guy to make it. Worth it, razor sharp and makes a good bow.
