Okay, here's another one of my "Am I Anal?" questions.
Like most of you, I rotate my food and other supplies I keep in stock, and I often try to purchase these items in quantity, in case lots, when on sale or at a warehouse retailer if the price is right.
I have inventory "check-off" sheets on a clipboard in the "pantry" as well on the freezer in the basement. Everyone usually complies with my request to "check-off" something when they use it or move it up to the kitchen, which makes restocking much easier. The biggest "movers" in the food list are the kid-friendly items such as tuna, peanut butter, mac & cheese, Bisquick, and Ovaltine. Veggies go a bit slower because we usually buy fresh produce, but ocassionally we'll dip into the canned items for home use and food drives, etc. Every so often, I just update the sheets on the computer, and restock as necessary.
Does anyone else do anything like this?![]()
