BTW, here are my reasons for liking this knife(No, I haven't bought it yet, but it's "on the list.") You may not agree, but that's ok too.

1.) Murphy's law follows me around like a freakin' stalker & if I ever was in a car accident myself this could save my life as well as that of my family.

2.) The bright handle would make this knife easy to spot if ever on the ground. I subscribe to Cody Lundin's theory of keeping everything as bright as possible. It's the main reason I avoid handles in Camo or Olive drab as the ability to blend in with the ground could result in a lost knife. I had this happen once with a pen that was designed in camo. Never found it until I accidently ran it over with the lawn mower!

3.) It comes with a bright-colored nylon sheath as well!

4.) It's made by Victorinox, need I say any more?

Next is an old Buck Lockback 110 I have had for years. It's in a belt sheath and is so freaking heavy it's mostly in a drawer...

Also tend to carry an old Schrade lockback that is light and tough with orange scales.

i carry a benchmade griptillian where ever i go. i love it. its a really sturdy knife and it stays sharp for a long time.

I agree 100%, thanks for the amazon price. I am all about saving $$$. I myself woundn't use the sheath, it becomes a retention issue at work. I would pry drop it down a pocket.

I had one that I bought in 1978 that I carried until 1993. After it disappeared, was stolen or I lost it I purchased a new one and am still using it.

For me it is a Victorinox Fieldmaster for everyday.

I often supplement this with a Gerber Multitool and a Buck UltraLite.

A Gerber Profile or a Buck Alpha Hunter joins the pack if a fixed blade is needed/desired.

I just hate to lose something I've relied on for years. About a year back, my class ring

disappeared. I was SURE I had left it on the nightstand when I went to bed, but a dilligent search of the entire house (looked everywhere and under everything

) turned up nothing. I retraced my steps from the previous day, made a call to a restaurant I had eaten at the night before - nothing. Two weeks ago one of the cats was playing with it on the bedroom floor. It was a tearful reunion.

Catnip.

That particular cat doesn't eat tuna. Shrimp, lobster, chicken - yes to all. Just doesn't eat tuna. One of the other two cats will eat anything. Dog food, cereal, tuna. Good thing that he didn't find my ring or it may have gone out in the cat litter.

I am the same way, when I lose something it drives me nuts. As for the class ring, my ex-wife said she lost but she probably pawned it. I lost a Case Trapper in 2005 on a tree planting job in the Atchafalaya Basin in south Lousiana. I knew the last place I used it (to cut the binding off a bag of trees for one of my Mexicans). For the next two hours I backtracked all over the field looking for it with no luck. By noon the next day I had a new one in my pocket, because I fell naked with out a knife in my pocket.

Reward the cat? The cat is the one that took it. You just happened to catch him reveling in the fact that he still had it. Sneaky little beggars, I tell you. That's why I don't like them. They are killers, thieves and good judges of character. I really don't like them.
