    Default Dry Ice Maker

Now here's a thought. If your generator fails, here's a back-up for refrigeration. Dry ice in just seconds. Add some to the freezer or fridge....

At this price, I think I just found a new toy.

I saw plans awhile ago for a solar powered ammonia icemaker/cooler. The project used a black steel pipe with ammonia in iyt connected by tubing to a condenser inside of the cooler.

    Anyone seen those plans?

This works along the same principle. But, the one I saw used a larger pipe maybe like 8" or 10" and longer than the one in this project.

I found this and it would be very easy to build one or more of these to keep leftovers cool. I'm gonna have to try.

Propane fridges and freezers use the Ammonia heat absorption method. The 'refrigerant' part of the solardiary article is a little bit fuzzy.

Kinda cool idea, I use dry ice for meat transportation.
I gotta tell ya, that the hand in the pic should be able to be shattered with hard contact.
