    Default taking a year off

    well come september the hospital will be finished and with the mines beig slow right now i think i will go back to school for a year and finnish my paramedic. classes start in january and with the medics pay coming to parady with the OPP i think that thats great money to work in my community and not have to travel into the big city anymore, plus it helps out with my wilderness survival because i will also be specializing in wilderness medicine and search and resuce, never thought i would look forward to be laid off but it will be another great adventure

    Good for you! You have a plan in place and way to make it work. It's amazing what we can accomplish when we set goals. The best of luck to you. No doubt in my mind you'll accomplish it with flying colors!!!!!!!!!

    Good luck wareagle, you will certainly need it. I just passed my intermediate national written test. Man I was sure I failed when I got done. If you don't mind me asking how much do they pay medics out your way? Here it is about 13 to start.

    right now the PCP or primary care paramedic which is the same as the BLS or EMT in the states makes 32 dollars when the parody happens it will be 42 goes up from there as you get advanced care provider(acp) same as intermediate, then critical care provider (ccp) (paramedic als for you) ccp allows you to work on life flight

    go for it, i have been trying to do the same thing (go back to school) only i am considering doing something online ,it would be my first time trying that.

    Good luck WE wish they paid paramedics here. He## McD's pays as much/more than thr do EMS people. ( Of course we ARE talking about Indiana) The last time i checked paramedics started at $7.50 hr.

    whats the min wage in the US now? here its around 9.50 and goes up next year to 10.25 or 10.50 not sure which

    The federal rate is currently $6.55 but it will increase to $7.25 on July 24th. However, many states have laws setting the minimum wage rate above the federal rate.
