Thanks Chiye tanka. pic was taken by a friend of mine. I too keep snakes from time to time. I have a component that covers snake ID and handling in my survival courses. I like them but I also have a healthy respect for them. Was bitten by a pit viper once and it wasnt a pleasent experience.

There is also a snake over here locals call Two Steps. Vietnam vets used to call it Jake Two Steps. I don't know the scientific name, but they call it that because the word is if it bites you, you only take 2 steps and drop dead. I think this is an exaggeration, as I have also heard people have lived 2 hours, which seems more likely. I work on mountain rescue team and am taking this course in jungle rescue and medicine, which is put on by some doctors and medics who work in Amazon. Supposed to learn about snake bite next week.

See if you can find out it's name, I'd love to know.

If that's what they told you, they lied. I know all the guys at Petersons, they like to mess with people.
It's an anaconda skin and it's been there for as long as I can remember.
    They're a bunch of jokesters.

A google search of "two step snake" give several that have earned the nickname. Seems like they have about a 2-3 minute survival rate in common.
