I was rather surprised to receive this information in an email. Apparently Montana has passed into law a bill which basically tells the Federal government to take a hike on any firearms laws that the Feds would try to enforce if the firearms/firearms accessories were exclusively made, sold and owned in Montana. Montana is basing this on the (apparent) legal basis of all Federal firearms laws which are constituted under the Commerce Act. Since there is no inter-state commerce but only intra-state commerce involved in these conditions, the Feds have to keep hands off (that means BATF has no jurisdiction). Interesting...
