Default Concentrated Forum Membership...What's with That....????

Do you notice that the Forum Membership is concentrated in pockets (clusters of states). Yes, there may be a few from each state, but wow there are some massive concentrations of membership. WHY......any Ideas.

What's the pattern you are seeing?

    Hoosiers
    Alaskans
    Texans
    Californians
    Floridians

    Any "pockets" i missed?

In the Southern states, I think the men are still brought up to hunt and protect the weaker of the species (women and children)

There are not many from Alaska. I guess that whole upper Mid-West thing. Why.......I just don't get why so many in that region. It seems like 70% of the total membership is concentrated there.

Thankfully, there's a "watch pocket" growing in Bristol County, Mass - Newport County, Rhode Island.

I think as the forum grows and becomes more popular ...... One possible explanation is that when somebody is doing a search for something in their area - they come across threads like Hoosier Survival Jamboree, Florida Gathering, profiles of various members (it is oft strange what a search engine will turn up).

I think mabe that some people concentrate on survival issues that effect them in thier own states,(a desert dweller may not be much interested in some other envirnment).

I vote that those locations are simply the last bastions of rational thought, and all the other "survivalists" are on other forums talking about 2012 and bilderberg, the illuminati, and the skullz while sighting in their zombie slayers, testing out their ghillie suits, and feasting on each others pets.

I may be in your area someday again.
My State is probably 75% Mormon and they have been preparing for generations and the state prepares for emergencies and have a lot of drills so that we are prepared.

I like beer and not Mormon, so maybe that makes me an outcast in some eyes here.

I hear ya, oly...it's the same here in Idaho. But, there is something to be said for the Mormons. They do know how to prepare and they have made this a family-friendly state.

I am amazed at how many there are of us in the Golden State... We should have a get together , . No if we did that we mite just get it in our heads to take the State over . No , no then we would have to run it , and we would have no time to go fishing and we all know that fishing is life
